I went to Disneyland for the first time in 5th grade. It was the highlight of my life up to that point, by far. We all love Disneyland but especially to a 10 year old, WOW, it's amazing and magical!
Back then, they didn't sell an all-inclusive entrance fee. You paid a little to get in, and you bought tickets for the rides you wanted to go on. We didn't have much money so we didn't go on many rides, but I didn't care. It was amazing just being there!
I remember I really wanted to go on The Haunted Mansion but we didn't go. For years, I knew if I ever went back to Disney, that would be the first ride I'd go on. So when I was about 26, Susan and I went to Disney World and The Magic Kingdom. We RAN to the entrance of The Haunted Mansion and I remember the girl working there acted surprised that anyone would run to that attraction. BTW, bet you didn't know that the people who work at Haunted Mansion aren't allowed to smile!
