The Potter Family's Christmas Wish

Dawn is our manager and a close friend. She is one of the most caring and selfless people we have ever met. Dawn is our supervisor and while she upholds company policy she is flexible and supportive, making sure the department runs smoothly while being sensitive to the personal issues of her employees. While she comes to work when she is ill, she will send you home to rest when you are not. She never complains about her own personal concerns, her work, or her team members. She is the type of person who goes above and beyond for others and asks for nothing in return, especially her 2 children who she is the sole financial supporter of.

Dawn has 2 teenagers and will do everything and anything for them. She drops them off at school, picks them up when it’s too cold or rainy, runs around town to make sure they make it to their sports, often on opposite sides of town from the other. She gets up early on the weekends to make sure her daughter has a good meal before her volleyball tournaments and her son for his football games. She doesn’t want her children to go without, even if it means she will.

Dawn recently had surgery and is on a leave from work. The claims associated with the surgery will be in the thousands for her portion of the bills, making it very hard for this time of year. Dawn’s children do not have means to provide a Christmas gift for her so she usually goes without gifts at Christmas time. We wanted to make sure that she knew she is truly appreciated and that she is remembered by those who appreciate her caring soul. Our CEO truly appreciates her. Her kind words about Dawn are that she is a smart, strong, wise, kind, and competent woman who is a wonder to behold. She deserves all good things in her life. However, we don’t always get what we deserve, we get what we get, and the least we can do for each other is to remember and applaud the grace shown by Dawn.

Dawn has been an avid listener to KDWB and the Dave Ryan show for as long as we have known her. We will see her sitting in her car in the morning listening to the Christmas Wish giveaways and waiting for a commercial so she doesn’t have to miss anything!
