On July 9, 2010 Monique Kitts made a 911 call, she told the operator that it looked as if someone had broken into her home. Monique continued to talk to the 911 operator as she walked around her home, which investigators would say this was unusual for someone to do.
It was while she was talking to the 911 operator that she would go into the bedroom and find her husband dead on the bed. She would cry and yell during the call. Corey Kitts had been shot three times while he was apparently sleeping.
