A Tale of Deception, the Murder of Russel Douglas

A few days after Christmas in 2003 Russel Douglas was found dead sitting in the driver seat of his car with a bullet between the eyes. At first, his wife was the prime suspect, a woman who seemed relieved that her husband was dead and was in line to collect a large sum of money but there was no evidence to back up this theory.

Detective then checked his phone records and discovered calls from a Las Vegas number. They came from Peggy Sue Thomas, a beautiful red head who just a few years earlier had won the Ms. Washington beauty contest. Then seven months after the murder an anonymous tip came forward with information that blew the doors off the case.
