Ladies and Gentlemen, it is Intern Liv back at the blog. This post I have decided to do a recap of the Royal Wedding between the oh-so-fine Prince William and his gorgeous (now) wife, Kate Middleton. The two wed almost a week ago on Friday, April 29th in front of a reported two billion viewers at Westminster Abbey.
Yes, I have to admit, I was one of the 23 million American's watching the Royal Wedding at 5 a.m. Friday morning. I woke up around 4:15 a.m. to see some of the wedding guests arrive before the blushing bride made her much anticipated reveal. My roommate and I had been planning our festivities for Friday morning for a little over a week. Thursday we made a late-night-run to one of the local grocery stores to pick up cucumbers, butter, cream cheese and bread. Why you may ask? For nothing better than a cucumber sandwich tea-party before the sun rises. The royals can't have all the fun.
Kate Middleton emerged from the royal Rolls Royce in an elegant white satin dress with a corseted bodice and lace appliqué. It was stunning to say the least. It was definitely not as much of a statement dress as Princess Diana, but beautiful none-the-less.
Pippa Middleton was also among those that turned heads at the wedding. Men's mouths dropped across the world as Pippa made her national debut and many criticised and thanked Prince William for choosing the "wrong sister". After Friday morning, Pippa's dairy-air had its own facebook group with already 182,218 "likes". You go girl!
As far as the ceremony goes, it all went quite quickly with Prince William and Kate Middelton saying their vows before the 15 minute mark (which was quite nice for the sleep deprived college students). The only thing that I was a little taken back by was the Queen. She refused to sing or even look remotely happy to be there. And when Kate turned around and was announced as Prince William's wife, the Queen looked away. But, afterall, she is the Queen, she can do as she pleases.
After they left Westminster Abbey at 6:15 a.m. I scooted back to bed for about an hour and I am happy to report that I made it to all three of my morning classes, hoo-rah!

Once again, I'm Intern Michelle (Intern Meesh if you're going with the other interns and trying to annoy me.) Today is a little slow at the KDWB Studios; I've already finished calling all the Ke-dollar sign-ha winners, and Intern Meg left for the day and Intern Bren and I were looking for something fun to do. Since I'm a movie freak, I decided to quiz Intern Bren with the Celebrity Game, also known as Six Degrees. The following celebrities can be connected through their movies and co-stars, though they never have starred with each-other. Let's see how Intern Bren did with this harrowing task.
Ready? Set? GO!
1) Adam Brody to Rachel Bilson
a. This can be done in one degree of separation.
b. Intern Bren's Response: Silence, then "I have no idea."
2) Patrick Dempsey to Will Ferrell
a. This can be done in five degrees of separation.
b. Intern Bren's Respone: "Patrick Dempsey in Maid of Honor… That’s all I got."
3) Renee Zelleweger to Daniel Radcliffe
a. This can be done in two degrees of separation.
b. Intern Bren’s Response: "Who’s Daniel Radcliffe?"
Stumped? Here are the answers that I came up with…
1) Rachel Bilson in Jumper with Kristen Stewart, Kristen Stewart in In the Land of Women with Adam Brody.
2) Patrick Dempsey in Valentine’s Day with Ashton Kutcher, Ashton Kutcher in No Strings Attached with Natalie Portman, Natalie Portman in Star Wars with Ewan McGregor, Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge with Nicole Kidman, Nicole Kidman in Bewitch with Will Ferrel.
3) Renee Zellweger in Bridet Jones' Diary with Colin Firth, Colin Firth in the King's Speech with Helena Bonham Carter, Helena Bonham Carter in Harry Potter with Daniel Radcliffe.
Can you come up with better degrees than I can? Good luck, because clearly I am the expert. (Intern Bren's response: "Really, Meesh?"
Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!
